5-star hotel by the sea in Cassis
This former mansion, built in 1887 close to the sea, takes its name from the limestone rocks that line the coast from Cassis to Marseille. Located just beyond the marina, it enjoys a unique location between the village and the Calanques and commands a breathtaking view of the majestic cliffs of the Cap Canaille. It is only in the early 1920s that the property was converted into a hotel and opened to the public. Winston Churchill, and later Edith Piaf, stayed here.
